  • I would so love to go back to Paris! I am just trying to be more judicious about where I spened my money and as a lowly little folk artist, I don't think I would have much of a chance of being chosen by those modernist judges. Blessings to those who do though :0)

  • Yes, I think they do, but there are winners. Last year they ran one on the idea of "Your work in NYC" -- and the prizewinners images were exhibited on the jumbotrons in Time Square. I happened to be in New York that week and it was very impressive. So, I'm thinking that maybe that didn't directly help someone's career, but for the entry fee maybe the winner can use that "winning" for their resume. Although this one with the Paris destination is pretty exciting. Heck, who would even care about selling the work ... well, maybe.

  • I love these "worldwide" art competitions. You get to compete with 1,000's of artists (for a fee of course). I can only imagine the cash that they rake in. I think it might be like winning the lottery...
