Does anyone have any information on this particular show at the end of April? I couldn't find anything in the Art Fair Calender or maybe I missed it. It seems to be a Sunday only show in an area without many art shows but with a large sightseeing population. I am about 6 hours away and wondering if it is worth the drive? If you have done this show or have any comments, I would really appreciated your take on it.

Thanks to all who responded. At this point I am torn- but you have given me the information I need to make a decision more clearly. Haven't been to Williamsburg in ages so might make a weekend trip out of it. Leo, thanks for the kind words about my work...sometimes when you are inside a studio for months on end you loose site if you are still fresh and if the work speaks to anyone. Appreciate it.
I have done this show for the last seven years. For me it is a no brainier, my home town. I find that both this and the fall show in Williamsburg, have been slipping in recent years. Of course that can be said of most shows. Williamsburg has a well healed retirement community and the is a good deal of wealth here, but it is very conservative...and maybe more so in the last few years with the recession, this has not always been the case. Seeing your work, a bit edgy, I'm not sure how it would fair in this market. (I love your work by the way, unique and refreshing.)
If you are pairing this with a visit to Williamsburg, say Saturday before the show, then you couldn't pick a better time to come. Williamsburg in April is one of my favorite times of the year... the gardens are wonderful and weather usually perfect.
As to the show...it's one day with set up and take down. Guaranteed to get all the winter cobwebs out. On Duke of Gloucester (DOG) street, Booths are set up in quads, so everyone gets an outside wall, I like that about the show. Being a Sunday show in a conservative community, things don't really get started until after 11, when church lets out. That said, there are early birds that always cross my threshold before the show opens.
A six hour drive is a fairly good hike. I think it would only be worth it if you we're planning other things around it. Cheers, Leo
P.S. I wrote a short review about it a few years ago:

i have done art on the square and usually do well. i also do the fall show beginning of oct. (not run by the same people). I am doing it this April. not sure i would drive 6 hours for a one day show though.
I do a show in the same location in the fall and it is pretty good for me. It is two days. I'm not sure if I would drive 6 hours for it though. I did apply to Art on the Square and got called from the waitlist but I declined since Paragon moved their Fairfax show to that weekend.
