"Hand sanitizer - lots of if! Masks for all. (And do not touch your face! Ever again! LOL) The uv thing wouldn't convince me that I was safe. As stated there are a lot of "fake" ones on the market and as a "kupuna" (elderly…"

"Thanks for this posting, Connie. The scammers are very active as are the rumors and fake potions that will cure everything! With so many on their devices even more than usual, there is more ways to get caught up in crazy stuff. The article you…"

"Yep... I have had such a great experience for the past two shows. So easy to open, and to close and stash into the bag. And, I am able to lift it into my truck. Perfect. Very happy! OH...And it survived some BIG winds (gusts to 40/50 range) and…"

"EURMAX is a one person orientated design. The covering stays with the structure so when you're done you release the legs,  lower, and then push the whole thing into one bundle. Pull the travel bag over it and go. "

"Yes... I have been "practicing" and just when I think I have a "system" it fails me during my actual set up. By the Way: the one I have now is called an "InstaShade". And it's not even a full 10x10 as I discovered…"

"This sounds like it will work well. Every time I have tried opening it from the sides rather than the corners it just seemed like it wouldn't move at all...will give it a go with your more detailed instructions. Loosening the top sounds logical…"

"It pays to practice at home. I saw some new people at a show with one of those pop ups that accordions out from the center. During take down they were having problems with colapsing it, and I was going to help them on my way back from the head. When…"

"The trick to getting it to snap, at the top of the legs... Take the roof eaves, at the corners, flipp them up. Higher than the location of the snap position. Raise the corner slide brackets, till they snap. Then fold the eaves back down. This took a…"

"Thanks, Nancy. That's what I am going to do. I am going to open it as far as possible - try Larry's technique and then if all else fails I will secure one corner to give me the second person "advantage". I will be doing that in…"

"I have the Undercover R3, commercial tent. It's a great tent, overall. Used it many times and mostly put it up by myself. Now I consider myself a strong person but it is hard to get the corners to snap into place unless it is fully open, which…"

"No. On the accordion part of the frame, you will find labels telling you where to push. Arrows point which direction for raising VS direction for lowering. The center has a turn handle that is used for tightening the top, as needed. When it is new,…"

What are the best things about art fairs
Testing my designs for my wholesale line and of course sharing my "stoprecycling.com" philosophy!
Best show ever and why
Pacific Hand-Crafters Guild (Oahu - now out of business)
Worst show ever and why
Seabury Craft Fair - they allow imports because they don't know the difference - juried by non-professionals. They also have a building for a "rummage sale" and most people race past the artisans to get to the rummage sale when the gates open. And it's notorious for RAIN! Buckets.

I co-wrote an e-book with Carolyn Edlund (Artsy Shark)( and then was interview live by Connie about Email Marketing. Long ago! But I have been getting the emails every since.

I had my first crafting business at the age of seven making pot holders and selling them door to door. I even had 2 paid employees!
