So I had a stack of silk/wool blend upholstery fabric samples that were only 9" wide. I wanted to use them somehow, but couldn't figure out how! I made an asymmetrical womens coat pattern and cut the piecework specific to each scrap of fabric I had. The result was something I really can't make again--not only was it incredibly time consuming, but I don't have any of the fabric left! The collar is adjustable and can be worn up or down.
