Designer Evil Eye braceletUsing the technique cloisonne enamel makes the eye portion of this bracelet. It entails carefully bending pure silver ribbons of wire and fusing them to a pure silver surface with clear enamel. The following layers of enamel are colored and can take up to 20 times and firings in a kiln. After all the firings are complete the enamel eye gets sanded down so the wires are flush to the glass. The next step is the eye gets sanded to a high polish, which gives a gorgeous effect of depth and translucency to the glass enamel. After that it is bezel set in a carefully handcrafted sterling silver and 14 karat gold setting. The technique is quite labor intensive but the results are a magical beautiful piece of finely handcrafted jewelry.The pure silver bracelet is carefully handcrafted. Each pure silver link on the bracelet is fused in kiln with a blow torch.
