Poiret was a famous designer in the late teens and 20's, and his work set the tone for a lot of styles in the early 20th century. I made one of his coats from a vintage-inspired pattern from black velveteen, then embellished the collar with hand-painted leaves in copper, brass, and gold fabric paint.
