There's been a lot of discussion amongst jewlery artists, as well as other media, about where different types of artists belong. Do "stringers" and wire workers belong in a fine art fair? Fine crafts? or "simply" Arts and Crafts? Ordinarily, I would
As an artist and a show director I know the importance of a good booth photo. Each year I-the show director, am amazed at the wide range of booth photos that people jury with. Many frankly are dreadful.
Hello, all. I am new to the site, although I'm not totally new to art fairs. I've been doing juried shows for about four years, I think. I do shows mostly in Central and Northeast Ohio.
I make freeform beadwoven and bead-embroidered jewelry.
I still consider myself a rookie at art fairs and got into Ann Arbor, the Original this year. I've had people tell me it's overwhelming, a monster, and exhausting. I'm getting nervous. Maybe people just like to exaggerate.
Can anyone provide direction on how you highlight or link to a person in a post? I've noticed that when some of the show reviews are posted, other AFi members names appear to be links and I haven't figured out how to make that work.

After struggling for a while with my booth photo, I decided to shoot them again. It would be great to have second opinions or any advice is welcome. I'm posting three that I think are my best results(I'm no Pro, Neither is my camera) so let me know w
Has anybody done this show. I am really nervous as it will be my first show where I can't drive. I live in Boston. Like what do I do about a booth? I can't ship.
Hi everyone, just joined the site yesterday but have been lurking around for a few. Looking forward to learning from you all. My question is regarding fire proofing. I designed my booth on both a budget and space requirement (everything has to fit
The reviews for this show in the sourcebook are not so good but i have had two conversations that were thumbs up. Any insight would be welcome. I am a glassmaker with a pretty good track record
