I'm in the uptown Minneapolis show this August and am being asked to pick a booth spot. Looking for anyone who has done this show to suggest whether the mall area or Hennepin st. is better?

I haven't done the show in about ten years, but the mall area is good but the further from Hennepin the faster the traffic drops off. I'd try to stay on the first block of the mall (my space used to be there) or on Hennepin.

Thanks for the input! I appreciate it!
My experience is also old. There is a lot of traffic on Hennepin, but the Mall also gets good traffic. One of the good things about the mall is that you don't have to worry about auto traffic. People who want to see the show will traverse both areas, but it is more pleasant and shady on the Mall. That is where we always had a space.
Hennepin Avenue seems to get a bit more traffic than The Mall area, but does not allow day-before set up. I believe Hennepin Ave setup begins around 8:30 or 9 AM on Friday.
Also, The Mall area is a more park-like environment with a canopy of trees and about half of the spaces on grass as opposed to Hennepin, which is on an urban street (closed to traffic during the event, except for buses).
