I have the map from their site. It looks like booths are all pretty much along one street. Higher prices are being charged for “premium” booths. At first I thought they were corners, or at the ends of sections, but the map shows some of those are not, as several of those will be side by side. I never ask for corners, as my typical booth layout cannot take advantage of one.

A still higher price is charged for booths around the “roundabout” . Having never been there, before I say I just want the cheapest booth, tell me if there is a reason why a premium booth is desirable. (Hey: if those are the booths with shade trees overhead, I’m asking for one!)

Is one area of the show busier than another? Thanks!

  • Linnea:  I believe the premium was placed on the round-about booths because a.)  the round-about is fairly new and has a "let's go check it out" feel to it still and b.) there is a fountain in the middle of the space with no surrounding storefronts, so people tend to "hang out" in that area.  And, "hanging out" could mean better sales as people may stay longer.  I have some potter friends who were placed there last year (they were in a "regular" spot and something happened in the area/space was blocked off/etc., so the MCAC moved them to the round-about), and they really liked it and were planning on asking for the same spot this year.  If you are looking for "cooler", however... there really isn't much as it's all on pavement and it's always hot!  In the "normal" areas, you'll have buildings around and possibly a small tree, but not much.  In the round-about, you have no buildings to block wind/breeze, but you have no buildings to block any sun so... perhaps that's a wash?

Good luck and hope sales are great for you!!

  • Hi

This very small show. If you are doing the show for first or second time is better to get the premium booth. You get better display area and you get more viewing traffic since people walk will pass you 2 times at least. Also because it always very hot you will get a better breeze than other spots. I had done this several times and I develop a some collectors. I was not planing to do show because my wife cousin was getting married but since we are getting divorce I can do this show. Do not expect a lot and most of the sales happen in morning and slowing dies as late afternoon arrived. Most people will walk the show twice. Good Luck

    • Thanks for the reply, Oscar. I read that  regular booths are $150, 10 x 12 booths are $200, and the Premium booths are $250.

Did you mean that getting the Premium booths, on the Roundabout, is the most worthwhile? Plus that is where there is a breeze?

Or did you mean the slightly larger 10 x 12 booths?

      • Sorry for the late respond, the slightly larger are better but the best will the premium if you doing for the best time.
