Pricing and evaluation

Well it is me again. I wish to thank all you that responded to my first post. I'm going out on a limb and i am asking if you would kindly take a look at my web page and please give me an honest evaluation on our work. I have been working with my wife who does the photos and I make the frames we have been doing this going on 2 yrs. I have done cabinet and trim work for the last 30 yrs. Please be honest.

  • Nice looking frames but I'm not qualified to give you meaningful feedback on the work.

As an aside, I would suggest that you redo most of your website images though as the cropping work needs to be done correctly so that nothing is cut off.

  • Since I'm a frame guy, I'll comment on yours. I'm especially fond of those with the worm holes. Your craftsmanship looks great, but considering your cabinetry career, it should be. You might want to study a little picture frame history. Check into the Edward Hicks style frames (early 19th Century) for some variation. Hicks used raised blocks in all four corners. But you're already making some nice simple frames.

  • Very nice!  I think that the frames look very professional.  I'm not much of a beachy-theme person but depending on what shows you attend, I would think your inventory would be popular.  Best of luck!

  • I do free evaluations but I won't go fishing on a web site. You can either e-mail me the images you are considering at full size, embed them in a post on AFI, or the best option is to use my free "test your presentation" on http://juryimages.com web site.
