Art Fair Insiders

Call for Artists, Making Money at Juried Art Fairs, Craft Shows and Festivals

Hi,

I'm John and new to this site and am a complete novice at marketing my artwork.

I have been pondering art museums as potential places to gain customers.

Is it a big faux pas to end up giving other visitors your business card after engaging them in a little bit of conversation?

Thank you for any advice and opinions.

Having a face to face conversation with a potential customer while they view your art is the best way to gain them as a customer. Or at least add them to your mailing list as they may purchase in the future.

I would not do this.
