Hello. I am a photographer, but I have a question that maybe any 2D artist could help me with. I was contacted yesterday by a design firm in Zurich. They are working with an architect on an office building. The project involves incorporating an image of a tree into a window to hide the activities of the workers inside. They are interested in acquiring two of my images as digital files. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to price this? They are not asking for exclusive rights. I checked out the firm. They are legitimate. I appreciate your incite!

  • I'd say $200 each, though it might be worth checking some Web sites that license stock photos.

    • Thank you very much!

  • Check Getty and Alamay for their pricing structure. It's licensing not purchasing a photograph.

Don Ament just did a licensing job for a major corporation. Try contacting him and find out how he priced the job.
