I am new to the art fair business, so please accept my apologies if this is a topic which has been answered in the past.

I am a photographer. I will be selling matted, un-framed photos in 5X7, 8X10 and 11X14 (matted to 8X10, 11X14, and 16X 20 respectively). I want to know where I can find reasonably priced display racks or bins for these items.

I am thinking that the smaller sizes would be table top, with the 16X20 being stand alone, but I am not sure.

I have seen bins that have cloth "slings" between the horizontal supports, but am having a hard time finding them on the internet.

Can someone point me to, or tell me where I can find bins for this purpose?

Thanks in advance for your help.

  • For the smaller sizes, I use baskets from Michael's Craft Store. They have several sizes that nest together. For my larger matted work, I have a cloth bin from Jerry's Art-A-Rama. I also have wire baskets that hang on my gridwall panels for some of the prints (usually my 11 x 14 mats). I put 3 gridwall panels together in a triangle to form a stand for the baskets, and hang artwork above the baskets. Usually I look for artwork that will catch someone's attention. Last year my Sunset Pelican caught the eye of a TV news camera operator, and they used it on the evening news! Too bad it was the last day of the show, not the first!
  • If you call them "racks", it'll be easy to find them in a search. I've replied to this same question many times on this forum and my own forum.

Here's a resource web site for many things you'll need:

One thing I should add is that it's unnecessary to sell the same images in so many sizes, especially since even the largest isn't large enough to see from outside your booth. But that's a topic for another thread.
