Wondering if anyone has thoughts on whether it is a good investment to place a small ad in a show's guide/magazine or not. Particularly in a huge show like Ann Arbor. The costs for the show are already astronomical for me, but if a small ad for a couple hundred dollars would actually help people find me in the sea of art, I wonder if it would be worth it???

If you want your ad to stand out it has to be on the cover. Otherwise you're just one of two thousand artists. I tried a small ad once offering a discount and though I did really well, no one asked for the discount.
