I'm with you on setups, Lisa. I don't do shows that require same-day, early morning setup. It takes me a long time to set up my booth and I'm too exhausted to do a good job selling when I'm exhausted from the setup.

Some of the cheese has moved online. There are so many places to sell your art and crafts on the web: Etsy, Artfire, Ruby Lane and on and on. This surely is having an impact on how much is sold at art fairs.

- West Shore Art League Fine Arts & Crafts Fair. Did this show in the 70s after graduating from Western Michigan University with a degree in art education. Didn't do any more shows until recent years.

- West Shore Art League Fine Arts & Crafts Fair in Ludington, MI. I did this show this past summer and my net after expenses made it my best show of the year. It is a well-organized show in a resort town. People were buying. When I did this show in the 70s, it was a fledgling show with few buyers. Times have certainly changed -- for the better!
