What are the best things about art fairs
You get to meet people who appreciate your art and it is very rewarding when someone purchases your art to give as a gift, knowing they feel good about giving it to a friend.
Also, it is nice when someone comes into your booth wearing a pendant or earrings they bought the year before looking for another piece of jewelry.
Best show ever and why
St James Art Fair in Louisville, KY. 3 days of constant traffic and knowledgeable patrons. Over 200,000 attend this show and not once was I ask by one of them to discount my art.
Worst show ever and why
Early in the first year when I started doing shows , I was looking for any show to do and I did a show at a church, it was their 1st show. They held it from 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Sat & Sun, my only sale was late Sun afternoon and that was only the 5th or 6th person I talked to both days. To say the least, I started checking shows out before I do them. It was a good lesson in the long run.
