Well, I decided to be brave and e-mailed an organizer to ask for some judges feedback from a rejection. I was shocked I actually received some feedback. It sounds like the judges were subjective and judged my jewelry on content and not how well it…

Judges like to have a plain, neutral background, not white, with nothing distracting in the photo.

Well, I tried for two big art shows this year and just got 2 rejections. I have one more big one to audition for and now one of my regular shows that I do every year is requiring my category to be juried this year. I hope I make that one!

Hi,
It has been my experience, the judges do not want anything distracting in the photo. It is best to take a picture with nothing in the background (have your white walls down on your canopy)

Tom,
You need to take an "a" out of trail in picturetrail on your page because you can't click on your link and get there.
Also, what did you use as a background for your chainmaille pictures? Your pictures are very nice.

How about participating in a show for 6 years and suddenly this year they decide to jury your category and you don't get in. I waiting to hear. Not too optimistic considering I've gotten a few rejects already, and they got the jury fee.
