"Hi Warren - I apologize for not catching your name correction on the sheet. We have a line on the application that asks the artist what they would like to be listed as.  If they leave it blank, we default to the company name.  We do…"

Entry Thingy vs. Zapplication

After 3 shows of fighting to get what has been promised, we decided to use Entry Thingy instead of Zapplication for our entries for the Fall 2010 Great Lakes Art Fair. So far, we have had very little complaints about the software, as long as the person has some sense of how to work a computer. There have been a few drawbacks on the Administrator side, but not enough to detract from the…See More

Kristina Jones replied to Michelle Sholund's discussion Show evaluations - do you take them seriously in the group Show Organizers & Directors
"We look at each one and take most of the comments seriously (serve Coke, not Pepsi?!? Really....) Artists do this every weekend and know what works and doesn't, so they would be the ones to let us know how to make things better. The problem…"

Kristina Jones replied to David Csaszar's discussion Bringing in the Artists... in the group Show Organizers & Directors
"How are you taking applications? I would suggest ZAPP for the first year at least, as many artists are on there and use it to find shows that they can go to. Once you get a good list under your belt, then switch to a less expensive, easier to use…"
