"Jim, my medium is photography. Yes, I've been doing it a long time although I only do 4 local art fairs per year. (Although I do at least a dozen or more exhibits each year.)
I used to mat and frame my work, but no more. Too much work. I now…"
"Jim, First suggestion...Don't do it!...
Ok, I got that out :-)
Are you going to do all the finished product yourself?
The market seems to be flooded with "photogs" who shoot, then PS or LR process to over-saturate and greatly…"
"Pretty much selling anything is knowing your demographic and it's very personal. The most beautiful mountain top vistas from award winning photographers probably aren't going to move that well if you're setting up in Key West."
"I can't say I did an extensive search.
I've done both art and arts & craft shows in NJ for about eight years. When we moved down to the Fort Mill, SC the economy was tanking and decided not to do any shows. After the economy picked up…"
"You've surely come to the right place, Jim ... in lieu of any other answers at the moment, have you been searching this site? Just about any question you might have has been asked and answered here. What is your experience and where do you hope…"
After ten years I've decided to start doing the Art & Craft shows again. I now live in South Carolina near the boarder of North Carolina The reason I stopped was the economy in this area was not doing well.
Since I've been out of…"
Sound great! I will look into it in more detail. If Art Fair members join I hope they will post their experience.
Thanks for the info! Also the URL you gave does not work. I went on Google and used the following:…"
It looks like you have the metal grid walls covered with cloth, which makes the walls look better. I also have the metal grid walls. Can you tell me what you use to cover the grid walls with and how you hang your prints on the cloth wall…"
"Note cards are something that I've not done. I did have refrigerator magnets a few years back, the ones sized for business cards; 2x3.5, and sold a bunch of them although never boatloads at any given time. They were $3 each; 2/$5; 4/$9. I just…"
"That's pretty much why my smallest size is 8x12 in 12x16 matte; anything else is a lot of work for diminishing returns, and it takes just as long to matte and bag the 12x16 as it would an 8x10 with the smaller size about $10-15 less.
"I've been going the cheap route and trimming up the drop outs from the 18x24 mattes. I print about 3/8 inch larger and the matte opening is around 3/16 inch larger so I can trim the drop out to 12x16. If I was inclined, the smaller drop out…"

Hi Jim, It is a Caravan and I like it alot. I also purchased a seperate front zipper wall which is a heavier material than the ones that come with it...so my front and back are accessible. Get the stay bars to firm up the tent, they work great. They allow you to either use the mesh walls or the ...I just had a total brainfart...you know the gray covered walls...DUUHH!!name is not coming to me..good luck!! Kathy
