- What are the best things about art fairs
- Traveling like a gypsy...meeting other artists and craftsmen...seeing more of the West...noshing on great festival food. (Lamb and/or goat burgers at Art in the High Desert; pie at 1000 Springs Festival.)
- Best show ever and why
- Art in the High Desert, 2011. Beautifully organized, treated artists very well, great setting, highest quality arts/crafts, strong sales.
- Worst show ever and why
- Just about any Christmas show that's held outside despite the fact that it's raining, snowing, or windy and cold. Brrr!
Also one for a corporate gathering of their top salespeople: made 20 aprons in their logo colors but the group chose not to come outside for the bazaar, music, and food fest the company arranged for them as a treat, and instead all fled to their hotel on buses. (Who could blame them? The festival was set up on the hot blacktop of their parking lot.)
