THis weekend I did Court the Arts show in Castle Rock, CO., which I will review later. Either I hit refund rather than cash sale on my iPad or there was a glitch but a $61.50 card sale amount went in as a refund. I called Aprivapay Saturday night and they canceled it out but told me I would have to call Omaha who told me I would have to call my bank on Monday to retrieve the card info and re-run it as a sale. Well, when Aprivapay deleted the refund all of the related card data went with it because the batch had not closed for the day. Bummer, I thought I was out $61.50 until my local guy at First Bank called and said they would split it with me, giving me a credit of $30.75. I don't want to tell my bank this, but I still made money on that sale. Loyalty to your bank (32 years) does pay off sometimes. LOL LOL LOL.

  • Well, I'm confused by your story, but the final conclusion that loyalty pays off is my philosophy also. We have had the same credit card provider (Teamac) forever, ever since swipe has been available. When others pitch me, I just say no. Life's too short to spend time chasing the next big deal. And you're right, Chris, they do know me when I walk into my bank too.

  • It is a good thing when you walk into your bank and everybody knows you by your first name.
