What are the best things about art fairs
The excitement of having a lot of people see your work, and meeting collectors.
Best show ever and why
The "Wells Street Fair" in Chicago. I met a collector who over the years bought 7 paintings.
Worst show ever and why
In the Roosevelt U. Building, Chicago. The exhibit was in a tiny room with maybe 10 pieces of art. I paid for the juried show, was not accepted but they said my work would be displayed " on screen". I pictured a geat big TV. They had a very small laptop perched on a step ladder. LOL my husband and I laugh about it to this day. It was an individual artist who put on the show to make some money.
