What are the best things about art fairs

Overall, its gratifying to talk with people and see/hear their appreciation of my work, even if they can't afford to buy. I've got a regular following and its always fun to see my regulars at the shows, so I guess for me its 1) the people and 2) the sales.

Best show ever and why

Balloon Fiesta, Albuquerque, NM - best sales ever. Los Alamos, NM are consistently good shows with lots of regulars. Small shows have an intimacy you can't get at a larger show; there's a local November show I do each year because I love the people who host the show.

Worst show ever and why

People's Fair, Denver, CO. Not an art show, but a festival. Put me next to a booze booth and the people manning the booth were so obnoxious, loud and crude, customers couldn't get away fast enough.

Who referred you to ArtFairInsiders.com? Please be specific.

Internet while looking for art show information. I've been reading the newsletters for awhile now.

What is one fun fact about yourself?

No idea. Have always been told I'm "too serious." I can be impulsive, and certainly I have a droll/dry sense of humor which not everyone gets or appreciates. Except for maybe my friend Cynthia, who is a stained glass artist. She calls us "quirky."
