Time-Lapse Booth Setup

Hey Everyone - Thought some of you might be interested in this time-lapse video I made from my show a few weekends ago of my booth setup - kinda fun to see it like this :-) http://galleries.joshtrefethen.com/gallery/8498856_xtMTQ/1/559298285_vmXvW I created this time lapse using interval shooting mode with my Nikon D300 - just set it up on a tripod and let it click away while I proceeded to set up the booth. Since I knew I was going to pull this in to a lower quality time lapse, I set the image quality and size much lower than normal, and shot in JPG mode. When it came time for processing, I pulled the shots into Quick-time Pro and made the time lapse, then into iMovie for transitions etc. Pretty painless. Hope you all enjoy it! -Josh http://JoshTrefethen.com follow me: http://twitter.com/joshtrefethen

That was cool. I know this doesn't really relate, but what type of wall panels are those? I'm just getting started and want to start off something as nice and professional as your booth.

  • The video was awesome, I love the way you added the soundtrack :). I looked at your 'behind the scenes' photos as well - wow, your big double booth is what my booth wants to be when it grows up.
  • I love it! It was great, if only I could set-up my booth this fast
  • That was crazy fun!
  • Great idea and follow-through Josh! Shows need to do this more for their show promotion by having one of the TV stations with those cameras up on a long telescoping arm film an entire show setup. Nice work!

Could it only be done so quickly!

    Hope the show worked too!
  • Very nicely done! You know, for some reason it has never occurred to me to zip my panels onto the top before raising the legs! I'll try to remember to do that next spring.
  • elapsed time was probably 3-4 hours. I now have a double booth, which takes a bit longer! I'll upload a video of it when I have a chance.

  • Very neat concept. Thank you for sharing with all of us.
I know I'm not alone when I say we all wish it only took as long as the video to set up.
Have safe travels and successful shows.
