Paragon Arts Festivals

Hello to all!
I'm new to this forum and signed up in support of my husband.  He is a 2D artist, painting in gouache and pastel and we've been exhibiting since Memorial Day 2010.  We've been relatively pleased with the Howard Alan shows and believe that once we actually learn how to sell that we'll do ok, especially since Howard seems to know how to bring in the people.  How does Paragon compare?  These seem to be new shows, but to be fair, I may not be searching in the right spots yet.  I did see the thread started from May '09 but I'm looking for current information. Thanks in advance for any feedback you might have! Mary

  • I did hear from a painter friend that the Westchester show was good for him.
  • I would take all the cheerful talk with a grain of salt. I did one Paragon show (Long Island) and the 2-D artists did not do well. You really have to consider the medium of the reviewer. Most of the reviews are from functional artists. It could be you could do well as a painter, but no one I know of this discipline has done well at these shows.
  • Thanks Larry! I posted a comment but it must be showing attached to the original email. I appreciate your feedback! MS.
    • I read it because I was subscribed to that thread already.

      Thanks,

  • Check the blog section. There have been some good reviews of the Paragon shows recently.
