What are the best things about art fairs

Meeting new people that have been most kind and willing to share their knowledge and experience!!

Best show ever and why

Hilton Head was a very cool show to browse and Howard Alan knows how to organize and draw crowds. This, however, was topped by the Craft Festival in Berea, KY where people arrived in droves despite the constant downpour on Friday of a 3-day show. Great local entertainment and care for the artists including an artist dinner & offers of assistance by staff that was everywhere. Lila's attention to detail and organization was everything you could want in a promoter! (Well, we wanted more sales, but as newbies, didn't know how to make this happen, but that will come :-)

Worst show ever and why

Hard to say since even those that didn't generate income provided amazing learning experiences and hopefully fruitful contacts!

  • I'm going to try it again next year if I have the date open. My weekend was decent considering the limited number of people. I think the show has potential and the coordinator seemed to really care. Still trying to get the kiln fixed. Had to replace several parts but am still having problems. I am mailing something to you guys. I had it in my studio and thought of you and one of our conversations. See you soon.
