I am looking for some quality fine art shows to do in October and November.  I prefer shows that are not run by the chamber of commerce.  I am looking for juried shows that are run by professionals who know how to advertise and run a show that is well balanced (no crafts).  I really appreciate it when the folks that run the show realize that the artists are important and treat them so.  I am willing to travel.

  • Madison has a show in November:

I don't know if it's what you call juried though.

    • Thanks Larry.

  • In what geographical area? What is your art form?
    • I live in Wisconsin and am open to traveling the midwest area.  My husband and I make metal upcycled jewelry.

  • Amy, I update www.CallsforArtists.com almost daily, as new shows come in looking to find artists. Check that site out, it lists ZAPP events, JAS shows and just about everything else all in one place. Also, do not be shy about calling some of them to make sure those deadlines stick for something that will be easy for you to do.

    • Thank you Connie, I appreciate it!

  • Strange timing in that shows usually close six months in advance. Try the Paragon shows. Bill does his best to make sure artists are put in a good selling situation:

    • Yes, I realize this.  I was added to the wait list for the shows that I applied for.  I thought I would check for the future as well as this year.  Thank you for the recommendation to Paragon shows.
