Dean Lauderdale, painter, a participant at the nation's art fairs for over 30 years died on January 7. Dean hailed from Oklahoma City but many of us met him over the years in Florida, Ohio, Michigan and many places in between.
After a short stay in the hospice in North Carolina he passed, not in pain and at peace. Both he and his wife were heartened and supported by the number of cards and letters from friends all over the country who inhabited his art world.
There will be a memorial service for Dean Saturday, January 28 in Oklahoma City at 2 P.M. at Resthaven on SW 89th Street.
He is survived by his wife, Sally Wencz, 109 Chestnut, Jonesville, NC 27017.
