    Sandhi - we didn't get in/rejected because we didn't apply. $50 jury fee is crazy for this show. I can spend that money rescuing the relatives who were robbed in Manila.

    Well, I didn't get into Reston again...but the GOOD news is I get at least 1 or 2 emails a day from people ALL OVER THE WORLD who want to buy my work using a credit card by phone - and they'll even have someone pick it up! Gee... I wonder why they don't want to use PayPal - or Fed Ex - or a issue a purchase order. And I wonder why they can't spell? Or don't know which piece of art they want but are sure it will look great in their new apartment...or yacht...or office in Dubai?!

      You are one lucky girl, Sandhi. You don't even have to stand in the wind at Reston or even do a sales spiel. Imagine your work on an island in the Maldives. I'm seeing it now. Or how about even better in an pre-Civil War home in Michigan ;)

    My latest:

    Greetings. My family and I had a trip visiting (Manila Philippines), everything was going on fine until last night when we got attacked by some unknown gunmen. All our money,phones and credit cards was stolen away including some valuable items, It was a terrible experience but the good thing is they didn't hurt anyone or made away with our passports.

    We have reported the incident to the local authorities and the consulate but their response was too casual, we were ask to come back in 2weeks time fo... 

    Usually you get this from someone in your family whose account was hacked -- but do not know who this "Valerie" is

      I did not get this particular one yet...but these email scams are all over the place. I get many and am constantly adding them to my spam list. Amy further emails from the same people go directly to my spam folder and do not pass GO.

    That scam must work enough of the time because they keep doing it.  My neighbor told me that she got a phone call for 150 sandwiches that would be picked up by an agent.  She called a restaurant association she is a member of and they confirmed that others were also being hit with the same scam.  The key word is that an agent does all their picking up, etc. 

    I wonder where my agent is.
