  • Jeanine, how tall is your tent?  Do you have a couple levels it can be lowered to?  I didn't even know they made tents that went up that much higher than what you usually see at shows.

    • Thanks, everyone.  Jacki, I don't have a tent yet.  I was all set to buy a 7ft tent and the guy I talked to at Flourish told me that it was better to have an 8ft tent both because I would have more space and so that my tent stood out from all of the 7ft tents.  So no, it isn't a big difference, but I didn't know if I went ahead and got the 8ft tent whether that would end up excluding me from some shows.  The more I look at shows, the more unsure I am of what to get because so many shows have different requirements!  So far I have never seen a height requirement though.
  • Our show doesn't have a height requirement, but it is always good to know if a canopy is over the norm.  I have spots that are under trees and other overhanging places that knowing that you are taller would give me a heads up and we wouldn't have a game day issue!  I would call the director.

  • Depends. Call the each show you are applying to and ask them. Some do, some don't. Some in very windy areas may advise you a taller canopy puts you at greater risk of being blown over. You're going to hafta call the show.

    • Some shows do, many also require all white canopies, and one I didn't bother to apply to required all artists to have "round top canopies." I have an EZ Up.
