Just downloaded the app for Delray Affair, and it's asking for 3 photos "of your work in progress." (As opposed to: "3 photos of your work.").  So if I follow those instructions to the letter, the jury isn't looking for evidence that my work is high quality, they just want to be assured that I'm making it myself?

Am I missing something?  Can someone who has done this festival clue me in?

  • Hi Geoff: We haven't done this particular event, but lately we have been asked during the application processs for other events to present photos of our work in progress.  We submitted photos of us working in our workshop and that satisfied the show organizers.  We guess this is an attempt to weed out the buy/sell from quality shows.  For your particular medium, not exactly sure how the work in progress photo would be taken, unless by an assistant on one of your shoots, darkroom/workshop photos etc.  You may want to place a call to the show organizers for clarification.
