I have not applied before, after hearing too many stories about impossible booth spaces with benches or lampposts in them, or fountain spray, etc. I have been close to applying before, but have been wondering this year just how prevalent these issues are.

Assuming one is lucky enough to avoid the worst case scenario, what other things might be an issue?  As I get older, I have become less tolerant of stressful set-ups and the like.  In reading through the application form, it asked if I was a "senior artist". That gave me a pause. But .... I guess I am! (I wonder why they asked?)

It would be local for me, and I have hardly any local shows. Thanks!

  • I have never done this show and I have been invited this year. I live in Atlanta and it is a long way. I have not heard anything about this show and am wavering on wether to go or not. I have heard amazing things about shows in Chicago and that is why I applied. Would love to hear anyone's thoughts about this show!!!

  • They asked because artists 60 and older pay $100 less for the booth fee. i've been invited this year, but now, reading your post, I am concerned about those "impossible booth spaces." Any links about those claims?
