Call for Artists, Making Money at Juried Art Fairs, Craft Shows and Festivals

Winter Park just canceled. As the info comes in about refunding booth fees, I will post that when I know it. Or, someone else can if they get the word before I do.

Artsplosure - The Raleigh Arts Festival held in Raleigh, North Carolina are concerned about their artists and have placed something on their website encouraging art patrons to donate to groups in their area that are helping artists.

Village at Winona just cancelled their June show.

"It is with tremendous sadness that we are now forced to cancel The Village at Winona Art Fair.  This would have been our 20th show in the year 2020, but due to new restrictions in our county we are forced to make this decision.  I'm working with Zapp on the best way to do this, if Zapp can not refund directly to your original payment method we will write and mail checks.  Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions."

It is sad. These are such nice smaller events that are beloved by their communities and are a disappointment for many. I've attended this one. I love that ambiance.

Huffman Productions  that has a show in Illinois and Minnesota have posted on their website that they are encouraging the artists that were set to be in their shows to post their website info on Huffman's facebook page so people could contact them so it is easier for art patrons to buy from the artists.

Just found this on the Howard Alan website.  If you were scheduled to exhibit in one of their shows they have set up a facebook page where you can post info about your work and some photos.

If you exhibit in the 28th Annual St. Croix Pottery Studio Tour & Sale in Minnesota, the tour is canceled.  However, they are doing an online selling and virtual shopping event with the potters in their studios.    More info about their May event is below at the link:

The Magic City Art Connection show in Birmingham,AL sent an email today reconfirming their April postponement date to November 7 & 8. The show went from 3 days to 2 and will occur on the same weekend as 2 other nearby festivals-Moss Rock and Fall FACC. I am not familiar with either of those 2 shows. This would be my 1st time to participate at Magic City.

If you opt not to do the November show, they will refund only 65% of your booth fee. We have til April 9th to reply our preference.

Anyone know about those other shows and how it might affect attendance at magic city?

What is FACC, Alisa?

Connie- I don’t know. It was listed in their email to us but I couldn’t find anything about it online.

Moss Rock is a smaller show, but much nicer area in my opinion. Sales for MCAC will ABSOLUTELY be affected by being the same weekend as two other shows.

MCAC has gone downhill for years, but this is the last straw. They're run by pure greed now.

Art Market of Estes Park canceled today. Booth fees will be refunded.

Well, Dick, its kind of like your shows are choosing for you. Right? Is this just about the last event you are signed up to do?
