Congrats to Liza Norman! I just saw the article in the Detroit News about the Ann Arbor Art Fair, or as the News put it you'll be at the "big chimichanga," and there are lots of photos of your fiber art. I'm looking forward to meeting you in person soon.

The focus of the article is the economic impact the fairs have on the local economy,

Indeed, says Maureen Riley, executive director of the Ann Arbor Street Art Fair, one of four fairs that comprise the whole, helping local businesses was the whole point behind creating the fair in the first place. "There are local merchants who say there are two shopping seasons in town," Riley says, "Christmas and Art Fair."

Never doubt that it is the economic engine that keeps Ann Arbor awake through the long summer days. The art fair brings nearly 500,000 people out to peruse the offerings, eat in the restaurants, shop the stores' sales, stay in the hotels, let alone the 1000+ artists doing the same thing.
See you there? I'll be at the intersection of North University & State, on the Diag, at 10:30 am Thursday and would love to meet anyone who is coming to the show.
