Call for Artists, Making Money at Juried Art Fairs, Craft Shows and Festivals

help! I have sucessfully sent in my first application to the Krasl show, but when I tried to use the coupon code to submit my second application, I get an error message saying I have an invalid code. 2 e-mail messages to the directors of the show give me the same coupon code, so I am in a circular loop. I am approaching deadline, I have two different media (watercolor and photography) that I will be displaying at the show, but I don't want to pay full price for the second app. Any suggestions?

Are you applying with the second application from a second profile? Otherwise I suggest calling the show. Sara is very receptive to artists questions.

Hello, Diane:

I also apply to shows in two categories and read the info for Krasl.  I contacted them and Sara suggested that I post this on the blog.  You have to create a completely new account with Zapp to do this (which would be a real pain).  This are her instructions:

1.       Re-register with a username and password (as if you had never registered before)

2.       Fill out all the required ZAPP identification information to re-create a profile page.

3.       Re-create/upload photos and all the required information  into the Image library (unfortunately, you will not be able to copy/paste any previously uploaded information from application one into application two).

4.       Then, go to “apply to this show” and go through the application process from start to finish as if you were doing it for the first time.

Sara said that these parameters were established by Zapp, not by Krasl and also suggested that I contact Zapp and ask if this could be made easier for those of us who would like to use the coupons.  I did write Zapp about this and said that to set up an entirely new account just didn't make sense to me especially since you cannot copy and paste info, etc.  It would be very time consuming.

I also asked Zapp about having applications availble for modification until the deadline (which JAS does).  I recently discovered an error on an application and now I am jumping through hoops to get someone on the committee (volunteers) to mark it "incomplete" so that I can correct my error.

Kind regards,

Melanie

PS:  I failed to mention that I do have, of course, TWO accounts with Zapp for the two separate application processes.  It's a shame to have to create a THIRD a ccount to save $15.00.

Hello, Diane:

Your welcome.  Did it work?

no, I am afraid it did not- I just paid the extra $$$ and sent it through. I was heading out of town and did not have the time to fuss around with it any longer. Oh well!
