Amdur productions is starting up a series of Wednesday markets at Daley Plaza in downtown Chicago this Spring. A little different from what you are doing here. I think this kind of venue is a great way to build a local audience, nab tourists and go beyond the usual big shows. In/out and low fees add to their allure.
There is a really good one along with the Farmer's Market in Kerrytown in Ann Arbor that has been around for quite awhile.
Audrey Thatcher in Scottsdale was putting together a series of these events but the galleries (or someone) got together and pulled her permits. Really too bad.
Thank you Connie. When you say pulled the permits - you mean that in a bad way I take it? How low.
She had run these Artisan Markets in the past, this year she isn't allowed to do them. Local businesses objected I hear --hearsay going on here -- 2nd hand info. I do know there will be no Markets under her banner this year.
Gotcha - I'm hoping to find more markets like Eugene Saturday Market around the country.
