First show ever

A great farmers' market in Salt Lake City. But the first show (a community event with all sorts of vendors) was a 4th of July celebration.

What are the best things about art fairs

Visiting with other artists. Customers are there to enjoy and purchase hand crafted art.

Best show ever and why

I had just moved back to WA (and was going to sell my jewelry full time) and was accepted into the Bellevue 6th Street Fair. I was informed (by new artist friends) that is was a great show - and it was! I had people in line all weekend to purchase from me!! I had never sold so much in one day! I actually cried! I had given up school teaching in Utah, moved back to WA and was attempting to sell my jewelry as a full time living for myself and my daughter - and that event showed me that it was possible. And it is! I'm still traveling, selling my jewelry!

Worst show ever and why

Some street fair in Vancouver, WA where I was spaced between cars. Not really sure where the other "artists" were. It then rained so hard I had a river running through my booth in minutes. I packed up and left that night and didn't return the next day.
