What are the best things about art fairs

They are generally interested in keeping the value's to completely hand-crafted art, in doing so they attract the type of visitors that know quality, and are aware of prices to value. They expect quality, not junk Sometimes it is difficult to detect all hand-craft, and that is hand-craft by the artist on site. And most importantly these shows are generally well run, well attended, and attention is paid to artists, about bathroom breaks, or just bringing water by, just in case we came unprepared, and spaces generally are not so crampted, there are break between booth spaces, so that set-up can be done with a walk-around design, sometimes a choice of set-up is so nice.

Best show ever and why

Use to be in Louisianna, Manderville, it was a great time for all, vendors, attendees, everyone came with an attitude of fun, open and the willingness to enjoy. The were not afraid to visit all of the booths, you never got the feeling that they would die if someone spoke to them, we all have experienced that feeling I am sure. The show was every 4th of July weekend, and we looked forward to it every year. We always left, happy, happy because we just enjoyed a fun weekend and made a darn good bit of money. We knew everyone left happy. Unfortunately, I understand that neighbors complained about the crowds in their neighborhood for that one weekend at the park, so it had to relocate, once that happened, it changed everything, show has never been the same, am sure the charity receiving the monies had certainly suffered, SAD, was the best show ever!!.

Worst show ever and why

Don't have a real worst show, it is just those shows that are living on past glory, in todays world, with so much competition, 5 shows every weekend, it takes new advertising campaigns, going after new neighborhoods and associations, it takes new dollars spent in new ways. It takes creactivity, want shows to really reach out to new attendee's. And if you advertise hand-craft, please get rid of buy-sell, or those things that just require a small alteration to make it hand-crafted. Make a real committment to artists and their hard work towards their craft.
