First show ever

Gallery night at a local photography studio, where I put my display tables and layout together for the first run.

What are the best things about art fairs

The camaraderie among supportive artists and the opportunity to introduce creations to a new audience.

Best show ever and why

A local festival held a mile away from home. Aside from being convenient, it was my first outdoor show and although I learned a lot about handling wind and heat, many supportive friends visited and it was one of my best sale events in four years.

Worst show ever and why

The semi-annual arts and crafts / flea market in Canton, MS. I had to rent a van for the trip, and we spent hours and hundreds of dollars to sell under $200 in jewelry in hot, dusty conditions. I was not the only discouraged vendor and it's not a venue I will return to--though I believe it was profitable for a few niche vendors.

What is one fun fact about yourself?

I grew up in the desert of Tucson, Arizona, and those colors and textures come through in some of my work.
