Best show ever and why
ArtWalk 2005, our first show because we overcame so many mistakes and obstacles due to the dedication and hard work of our volunteers, friends, and family.
Worst show ever and why
ArtWalk 2009, our 25th anniversary, was the worst for me because I was forced to miss it because of an ocean acousticis experiment in the Northern Philippine Sea. However, it probably was our most successful show to date.

The strangest problem we had to deal with occurred during ArtWalk 2008 when a city main water line at the upper end of Little Italy ruptured and flooded most of the streets of the event. Initial rumors that it was a broken sewer line were quickly dispelled by our event organizers and volunteers. Because of fear of further collapse of the street, two blocks of artist tents had to be evacuated. However, the city of San Diego reimbursed these artists for their lost time at the event. The remainder of the event adapted to the rushing water remarkably well.
