What are the best things about art fairs
Meeting customers face to face and hearing first hand their thoughts and suggestions. Forming friendships with other artists, and often cutomers as well.
Best show ever and why
Fountain Fair in Marshall that runs in conjunction with their Historic Homes Tour. Back before the economy sank, the sales were good, the location beautiful, and I saw all sorts of people that I did not see often. It was also close to home and therefore not as stressful.
Worst show ever and why
Ferndal Art Show. Not only were sales poor, but I had someone steal a case filled with sterling and swarovski beads, along with other beautiful findings . It was a two-person setup and really hurt my natural trust of people. It was tough to get over for the rest of the show.
