What are the best things about art fairs
I enjoy festive atmoshpere and cheerful people. I also love talking with the other artists because being and artist is a lonely craft- it is nice to be able to comiserate with others who do the same thing. I always learn a lot from other artists at art fairs. Finally, going home with a fist full- nay, a cash box full of money, would be up there with the best things about art fairs!
Best show ever and why
The Black Swamp Art Festival in Bowling Green, OH. because it has great music, loads of people, great artist hospitality and I made the most money there.
Worst show ever and why
The Rhousdebouf (sp?) Festival in Waterville, OH in 2005. I think visitors were buying popcorn only that day. PLus I ended up right next to an AVON vendor. Yeah, not too heavily juried.
