ZAPP Jury Status

Don't be confused by the status of your application after a show closes or even starts jurying. For example, round one or round two, etc. None of that means anything until the process is over and you receive the acceptance or not invited e-mail or it's in your shopping cart. In actuality, if ZAPP was smarter, the status wouldn't be visible to artists until the process was over. What's probably happened with St Louis, which doesn't start their jury for five days is that they've been reviewing the images of the artists that applied and somehow changed the status of their jury process. Speaking of artists who have applied. If you've followed the looser ZAPP image requirements of 1400 pixels long dimension, your images will appear smaller than your competitor's images when they project them for the jurors at St Louis or any other top show that projects the images. I'm still waiting for the artists to wake up to this issue and ZAPP to fix it. The only artists who are aware of it are those that attend the open juries.
