Hello Art Fair Insiders! I am a young artist, just graduating from college and new to the AFI website. I am very interested in art fairs and would like to participate in some art fairs soon. I learn by doing and I am still very intimidated by the Art Fair scene so I would like to get a feel for what it is like to work an art fair. I would like to offer myself as an apprentice or intern for any artists who are art fair "veterans" who need some help with preparation, set up, working the fair, tear down, or anything else. I am in the Chicago area and I am student teaching right now so I will become more available in December but I wanted to reach out now for anyone who is getting ready for a fair in the next couple months. Message me if this interests you at all! I am always looking for opportunities to learn :)

This is very cool, Claire. I'm thinking that a bunch of people here will be doing the One of a Kind Show at the Merchandise Mart in December and that may be a place for you to help out. Lots of our members live in this region. I know we can find some useful place for your skills.
Hi Claire, I'm in South Bend and my last fair of the year will be this weekend in Carmel IN. The outdoor fair season will pick up again in May, and if you will still be interested then, let me know.
