Vinyl Top for the EZ UP?

Hello everyone,
I'm new to this forum. I'm a goldsmith and haven't been doing shows very long. I bought an EZ up about two years ago for starters, knowing that I'd eventually upgrade. I was at a show last week and someone told me there is a person/company that makes vinyl tops for the EZ up, but the person couldn't remember who it was. Anyone know who this might me?

  • Hi, don't know if you are interested, but if you are paying $300 or more for new top, I have a light dome, excellent condition, just finished my last show, retiring. Started with ez ups, no comparison. I had new zippers added, and new snaps this spring, now due to health reasons must retire, I can send you a pic of it. Never leaks, so much more strudy than ez up, I put it up by myself, I am only 5ft tall. I am asking $600, includes, bags, straps, weights, everything, let me know if interested. claudiasap@comcast.net

    • Thanks everyone for such a warm reception. This is fabulous. James, I don't have a webpage, but you visit me on facebook. I have photos of my jewelry there.
  • I would love to see some of your work do you have a webpage?
  • I just bought a replacement top for my EZ up as well from a seller on Amazon - Champion Covers. It was about $100 and claims to be waterproof (although my friend's did have some problems with dripping). Otherwise, I've been very pleased with it.

  • The John Mee Company makes tops for replacements on the EZ-Up and other tents. I have two from them for the Sam's Club EZ-Up, the one with the heavier frame. The tops are about $285, possibly a bit more now. They're worth it; don't leak, stay cooler, and have 12 sets of buckles for keeping sides rolled up and snugged down the top to the frame so water doesn't pool. They're online and fairly easy to find, and are located in Alabama. It's a small outfit so getting someone on the phone can take a few times if they're busy in the back making the tops.

Here's their website, and my suggestion is to download the pdf catalog; www.johnmeecanopies.com
    • OH wonderful!! Thank you so much!
  • Hi Dianne:
Don't know about the vinyl top, but if it's waterproofing you're looking for, I took my 2 year old top to a boat canvas shop and had it waterproofed a couple years ago. Works great. Bought my EZup in 2006 and it's still holding up well after several Florida rainy seasons.
