This weekend I set up a camera in my booth at the Manayunk Arts Festival in Philadelphia, PA.  The camera took a photo every 30 seconds for the entire show.  Here is the time lapse video from Sat.

  • I like it.  Its a cool idea.  A setup and take down would be interesting to see. Overall a great start.

  • I liked it Evan - gives a good idea that people were coming through , the odd quiet times and to see you interactive in your booth :)  And boppy music to watch it with!

  • Michelle: Sales were good.  Given the amount of people that were there, sales should have been even higher, but over all I did very well.

Dave: I plan to shoot one of a setup/breakdown at some point.

Nels: I totally agree, the video gets painfully boring pretty quickly.  I was hoping to make the video a max of 1:20 long, but I guess I shot too many photos for that.  I know nothing about video editing, in fact this is the only one I have ever made so a "B" sounds good to me!  As for changing angles, thats something I thought about doing, but I pretty much set the camera, left it alone and concentrated on the show.  In fact the batteries died twice and I missed a few half hours of shooting over the weekend.  To remember to move the camera, and to find the time to do so, may be more of a pain in the neck.  Perhaps to solve that I could try setting up a few cameras at once though.

  • dd not see many sales being done--nice video, but it gets boring keeping everything from the same point of view, next time move camera around to three or four different spots.  I give give you a grade "B" for your efforts, Nels.

  • Interesting! I would like to do time lapse of a show setting up sometime. Pick a relatively high spot and watch the tents pop up.

  • So howd you DO? It was hard to sell if you were making many sales.
