Hullo! I am new to this site. I found it through the JewelryMakingDaily blog. I'm just starting out in the crafting/show business and have a lot to learn. There are such intimidating figures here with beautiful work. I look up to you all! I haven't done any shows yet but am looking to book one next spring. Currently I'm working on building a collection in both sterling and mixed media jewelry.

    hello Shiopei and welcome.  We are glad that you have joined us here.  We welcome all levels of artists here.  Our members love to pass on helpful advice so don't be afraid to ask.  I hope you are able to learn enough from our site that you feel comforable doing more than one show next year.  Good luck.

    Hello and Welcome to the site!!

    tour the blogs and forums and glean all the knowledge you can. Plan and prep for that first show, and be very open minded! I started shows in 2006, and am just now feeling comfortable and accomplished, not harried and lost! The show circuit is fun, amazing, and hard WORK, but definitely worth it! Start small, try not to overwhelm yourself.

    Welcome Shiopei. There is definitely a lot to learn in this business and the jewelry category is the most competitive. I hope we will be helpful to you. If you have any questions do use the "search" box as most of the information has been discussed already, but we are always ready for new questions and opportunities to help you in this business.
