The Square - Sequel

My previous post was unclear.  Let me try again.

I have an Android phone.  I wish to know what others who have used android phones with the square/paypal,intuit reader have learned.  Thanks.

  • I just got home from the ACC St Paul show where I polled all the artists in my area of the show as to their choice of a tablet for use at the show.  It was 100% Ipads.

  • We have a Driod "Jr." and up to now we have had no problems with either one of our Square readers.

However, I am waiting for the new reader to arrive (old one will not work after June 1 according to a recent email)....

and we are having to get new phones so this comment may be moot! (sorry!)

    • been using my Square with my Android phone and tablet for a while now too....no issues.

it works, funds are put in my account within 24 hrs, and so far, for me it is the best value , and easiest solution out there for me here in Maine!!

  • I'm using a Verizon Samsung note 2 with both square and PayPal here. Both work well but square is faster and uses less data.
  • Using Samsung galaxy s lll and the square. I've had no problems. I've had large shows 6-7k and never had a problem with limits. Same rate for any card (eg amex, visa) .0275. All transactions ended up in my bank account a day later minus the square service fee. If you're doing business on the street, it's a no brainer. Now they have added a customers service phone line...even better.
  • I have an Andrroid Samsung phone and a apple I pad tablet and use the square and Intuit with both. I am not sure what you mean by what anyone has learned...Download the apps is easy and using the apps is also easy. The Intuit always has processed the transaction on the first swipe and the square frequently takes several swipes to process. I don't add inventory to the apps because all of my boxes are one of a kind.
