  • You can also go over to the SA website forums, and there's a section where you can ask the editor/publisher questions. They reply pretty quick.

  • Hi,

I subscribe online only.  It's not satisfactory.

    a) They don't notify you that the new issue is available.  (I have strongly urged them on several occaisions to "push" out a message to subscribers.  They have not even responded with a thank you.)

    b) The online magazine is almost impossible to read on a laptop because the page format doesn't fit the screen.  (They have several viewing options; none work well.)

To Larry's question:  If you're not a subscriber, you can see only limited information on their website.  For example, you can search for shows, but you won't be able to see many of the details, such as link to the promoter's website. But you have no access to the current issues or archives.

I have not and will not renew my subscription.  There's very little information in SA that can't be found here, IMHO.

    • Thanks for the reply.  I have sent them a couple of emails with no response, one again this morning asking the question.  My husband got me the online subscription and because  I didn’t get any notification or know I had to keep checking the site I forgot about it so paid for one year and didn’t get  any of the issues.   Don't think I will be doing it again.

      • As I recall it's only 6 dollars more to upgrade to a regular subscription.  And I must correct an earlier comment: I DID get a response from SA (from the subscription folks) about my complaint on the viewing experience.  That's how I learned about the upgrade option.  Never did hear from the editor or from the IT folks.

  • Hi, No they do not send any email notification when its available. I most times get notified through their facebook page around the 10th of each month but it varies. Give and take a couple of days every monthly issues comes out around the 10th of the month.

    Hope this helps.

    Harrison.

  • I think that you have to subscribe to the magazine to access the information on the web site. I don't think that there an online only subscription. But I may be wrong.
