  • There is not huge attendance, but there is a cache about attending. The high and mighty, the collectors show up. Martha Stewart was there this Spring, collecting names and meeting people and finding ideas for her publications. Its one of those situations where "if you have the right thing."

Interestingly, about the PMA Craft Show, a regular exhibitor at that event told me recently (oh no, here we go again) "it's not what it used to be." He said that whereas a few years back it was a generally terrific show for everyone that now it seemed the people who were selling were the "wearables", clothing and jewelry. That even when you are on the streets in Philadelphia you can spot the people who frequent that show by the wonderful one of a kind clothing.

    I hated to hear this.

    • Are there any updates to the reviews of this show?

I've searched this site & the art show reviews site, but can't find any current feedback.

I was accepted one year, but ONLY for one medium category, so I didn't sign up.

Now I live on the West Coast, and doing this show would be really difficult.

      Thanks!!

      • My best advice, Luann, would be to go their website, surely they have listed last year's exhibitors. See if there is anyone you know and contact them. Or, look carefully at those in your category and see if you can make some connections.

  • It's like trying to get into Cherry Creek. It's one of the top fine craft shows in the country. That and the Philadelphia Museum of Art Craft show.
